Department Overview
The "Piping Engineering Service" department specializes in creating pipe classes, conducting pipe stress analysis, and calculating pressure surges for projects in the olefin, natural gas, hydrogen, and synthesis gas plant product lines. Operating globally, the department ensures adherence to IMS procedures, work instructions, quality assurance measures, and compliance with internal and external standards.

What you will enjoy doing

  • Performing static and dynamic pipe stress calculations for complex piping systems, ranging from cryogenic to high-temperature levels, within petrochemical, natural gas, and synthesis gas plants.
  • Coordinating technical aspects with related disciplines such as piping design, steel construction, systems engineering, instrumentation, apparatus engineering, pumps, compressors, and safety engineering.
  • Ensuring the quality of technical documents and calculation results.
  • Leading an international calculation team, often distributed across multiple locations, while providing training and professional development for team members.
  • Planning and controlling workloads within the project framework.
  • Maintaining communication with project management and providing regular updates, both personally and via tools.
  • Enhancing Linde’s internal standards and procedures.
  • Reviewing and verifying customer requirements and specifications.
  • Establishing and maintaining clear communication with customers.
What makes you great
  • You have a University degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Engineering discipline and at least 10 years of experience in a related industrial environment, including safety management, process engineering, and engineering projects
  • You have deep knowledge of related ASME/ANSI and EN standards and PED requirements
  • Further you have knowledge of all ferrous and non-ferrous metal materials
  • Deep user experience with ROHR2 calculation software
  • Knowledge of strength calculation of piping parts is required
  • FEM calculation methods
  • Very good communication skills
  • Business fluent spoken and written English
